Open light has two modes – Mode 1: white light for the prairie landscape, mode 2: purple lighting insecticidal lamp
This is a light OR bug zapper. You can have one or the other on at one time but you CAN’T have both on at the same time. Which makes this unit pointless, other being able to use it as a bug zapper during daylight hours. Problem is bugs are MOST active at night when you need the light too!
Other then that battery life is decent depending on how much sun you were able to get during the day. The bug zapper works well, and the light makes a good night light, but not bright enough to be able to read a book.
Light is good enough for ambiant lighting or to highlight a path, or mark a spot, but thats about it.
